Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Technical Specialist

ROLES

Based within the Programme Development and Quality team at the Country Office, the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Technical Specialist represents a critical aspect of programme quality assurance within Save the Children. S/he will provide leadership in ensuring evidence and learning, quality assurance and accountability are integrated into every aspect of Save the Children's programming.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead the design and implementation of the Country Office MEAL systems;
  • Build the capacity of MEAL and programme staff on MEAL;
  • Contribute to programme design and strategic planning;
  • Design and manage robust and child sensitive accountability mechanisms;
  • Support knowledge management and evidence generation;
  • Promote and foster a culture of shared learning and accountability.

ESSENTIAL

5+ years of progressively responsible experience with a good understanding of West & Central African countries culture and environment.

Bilingual (English & French)
