SOS Children's Villages International is a non-governmental organization and a global federation of 117 national associations. We work to prevent family breakdown and care for children who have lost parental care, or who risk losing it. We work with communities, partners and states to ensure that the rights of all children, in every society, are respected and fulfilled.
SOS Children’s Villages International seeks a dynamic and resourceful intern who will assist the Regional Strategy and Brand Advisor (RBSA). This individual will be responsible for providing organizational and operational support in the execution of activities related to Strategy and Brand. He/She will have an opportunity to participate in special assignments and projects to gain experience and enhance his/her career development and growth.
Main tasks
Support 2030 Strategy Implementation Manager in the daily administration of the ‘Federation Planning’ project and the rapid assessment of programmes
Team site and information management
Stakeholder communication
Logistics and administrative support
Various tasks assigned by the Head of department
In the strategy area, the intern will serve as an analyst with the following duties:
Assist the RSBA for the 2017 strategy roll-out in the region
Support the RSBA time management through reading, researching, and producing reports and documents.
Consolidate and analyze regional information and data
Support the quarterly/ bi-annual reviewing and reporting exercises
In the brand area, the intern will serve as an assistant with the following duties:
Support the RSBA for the brand strengthening process in the region. This includes brand development, innovation, communication and design of brand materials
Assist the RSBA in following up NA queries for brand related request for support
In both areas (Strategy and brand), the intern will:
Coordinate and organize regional strategy and brand meetings/workshops. Prepare virtual meetings, , and prepare presentations
Provide key support to the department head, the regional strategy and brand networks by coordinating appointments and documentation, planning virtual meetings, preparing meeting agenda and presentations, writing minutes, recording discussions and producing reports
Assist RSBA with travel management.
Profile
Degree in business administration, non-profit management, project management, communications or related field
Previous experience in administrative support/project management is an asset
A basic understanding of or affinity to process management, planning and strategy would be an advantage
Must be committed to work 40-hours per week

Excellent command of English and French
Good team player with excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
Strong MS-Office user skills
