Senegal: Communication and Marketing Manager

The vacancy is for the position of Communication and Marketing Manager for CORAF/WECARD headquarters in Dakar Senegal. The successful candidate will be in charge of ensuring smooth implementation of the Communication and Marketing strategy of the Institution.

He/She will directly report to CORAF/WECARD Executive Director. However, he/she will work closely with the other departments of the Institution and have significant interactions with CORAF/WECARD partners in West and Central Africa and at the international level.

The Communication and Marketing Manager will conduct the following tasks:

  • Corporate Communication and Communication for Development

  • Support the Implementation of the internal and external communications strategy;

  • Develop annual overarching communications plan and project-specific communications plans;

  • Promote the corporate image and identity of CORAF/WECARD through special operations by considering new strategic plan and emerging themes;

  • Coordinate and supervise communication activities including media relations, social media, audiovisual productions, outreach and promotion, corporate web presence, publishing, and library and Knowledge services; (e-newsletters, videos, infographics, press releases, press kits, social media activities; production of corporate publications, impact stories; websites…);

  • Work collaboratively with Senior managers and staff at all levels across CORAF/WECARD, at the Secretariat and with national constituents and international partners, to ensure formulation and diffusion of relevant and consistent corporate communications and results;

  • Identify, in cooperation with projects and programmes coordinators, achievements with strong social and economic impact to conduct communication campaigns for the adoption of technologies;

  • Put in place a mapping of target groups beneficiaries of CORAF/WECARD achievements in order to develop specific messages to advertise products from CORAF/WECARD.

  • Marketing

  • Oversee and promote adoption and application of CORAF/WECARD brand identity in all communications products, initiatives and projects at national and regional level;

  • Develop promotional tools;

  • Manage the production of promotional materials, such as banners, posters, folders, pen drives, pens, t-shirts consistent with the communications strategy;

  • Organize promotional events, seminars or field visits in companies, participate in shows, fairs to represent the Institution;

  • Initiate partnerships with Institutions and brand leaders and have sponsorships for Associations, foundations, etc.;

  • Provide Marketing support for partners.

  • Public Relations

  • Build strong professional relations in communication with CORAF/WECARD’s partners;

  • Establish sound public relations policies and practices for international partners and among national partners and build a solid platform for media relations both locally and regionally;

  • Collect, check and select information on the life of the Institution, its structure, activities and products.

He/She will also perform any other duties within the scope of communication and media relations as will be assigned by Management.
