Proposal Writer
General Accountabilities:
- To develop relevant, evidence based, winning proposals through a collaborative process, working with the Country Office and Save the Children member, as required.
- Ensure effective coordination with all the members on all proposal/report matters
- Ensure strong coherence between the technical and financial proposal/report
- Build on Save the Children's global and local expertise and
- Provide regular updates to the supervisor in the Country Office on the status of work and key issues to monitor.
- All tasks must be carried out with the utmost integrity and in line with Save the Children's Child Safeguarding

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Significant experience (+5 years) with a relevant Masters' Degree or equivalent professional experience developing large and complex grants, contracts and sub-agreements with knowledge of major funders' guidelines including in-depth knowledge of grant documents and compliance issues
- Ability to travel within the region on deployment
- Familiar with child focused programming in health, nutrition, wash, food security and livelihoods, child protection, education and child rights governance in humanitarian and development contexts
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and succinctly
- Excellent oral and written communicate skills in English, French or both (writing sample requested)
- Computer literate (including working knowledge of MS Word, Excel)
- Proven ability to handle/prioritise challenging and multi-tasked workload in complex working environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to operate within a matrix role
- Familiarity with USAID, OFDA, BPRM, DFID, EU/ECHO, SIDA, KOICA, GAC and others; and Foundations such as BMGF, etc
- Experience working internationally in a regional and/or country office.
- Experience working in an emergency situation
