Country profile

The HQ of Acted was implemented in Paris in 2000 to coordinate the interventions of the organization at an international level.
Today, almost fifty people work in the HQ in the departments of Finance, Logistics, Security, Human Resources, Project Development, Audit, Hub and Communication. Those departments support the Country Directions and the Regional Offices.

Position profile

Under the responsibility of the Directoire Members, the investigation officer will be in charge of:

Ensure the implementation of ACTED anti-terrorism policy and ACTED whistle blowing policy and related processes and procedures
Review donors’ anti-terrorism requirements on a regular basis in order to ensure all ACTED procedures and processes are compliant
Assist in conducting investigations based on ACTED whistle blowing policy matrix risk assessment & anti-terrorism policy
Coordinate the writing of investigation draft reports in close link with the management
Ensure the proper filing of all investigations conducted
Prepare a monthly activity report
Travel : this position might require travel to the field which are located in 35 countries around the world. Travel can be decided on an ad hoc basis and are of irregular frequency. Trips can last from one to two weeks.

Qualifications

Curiosity/ strong interpersonal and communication skills
Tenacity ability to understand and adapt to different working environment
Proven writing skills
Good judgment and analytic skills
Resourcefulness, maturity initiative and ability to work autonomously
Confidentiality/ Good understanding of linkages between policies and operational practices.
Master Degree in Political Science and/or Audit, + 1 to 3 years’ experience
Fluency in both French and English languages

Conditions

Salary defined by the ACTED salary grid; educational level, expertise, hardship, security, and performance are considered for pay bonus
