Here’s where you come in:

As Deputy Chief of Party, Senegal, you will be responsible for the management of the project, including grant implementation, financial accountability, staffing, planning and reporting as assigned by Chief of Party (COP). You will have the responsibility for overall project operations. You should be familiar with the technical components of the project and the required support services. You will ensure that grants operations and sub-grantee management activities are in full compliance with USAID regulations and aligned to NO operations. Upon COP request, you would represent the grant to donors and other stakeholders.

Requirements include:

  • Master’s degree desired in the education and training field.

  • Familiarity with USAID requirements, their history and their development.

  • Ability to integrate, lead and motivate teams of professionals around common goals.

  • Demonstrated accomplishment in working with host-country professionals, ministries and with donor colleagues in country.

  • Experience integrating gender and youth into complex education programming.

  • Has managed a USAID grant or a similar donor grant.

  • Good knowledge of the Senegalese context.

  • At least five years of experience and high responsibilities in designing, planning, implementing and managing education projects in a similar context.

  • Fluent French and English speaker.
