The Opportunity
This is an exciting time for Plan International, as we embark on a new strategy which places an increased focus on girls’ rights with an ambition to take action so that 100 million girls can learn, lead, decide and thrive.
The new strategy will dramatically transform how we operate – from implementing excellent gender-transformative development programmes in our communities in support of our ambition, to modernising our operating models, to stepping up bold, credible national and global influencing, informed by cutting edge evidence from our work in communities.
As Change Partner, your objective is to accelerate the adoption of our global strategy and the achievement of our strategic ambition and goals. Our approach to implementation is ‘leader-led’ and Change Partners will work closely with our senior teams to support the design and implementation of the transformed organisation.
The Change Partner’s focus will be on ensuring structured change, guided by Plan International’s change framework, and with an emphasis on ensuring the outcomes and benefits of change are delivered. Also central to our change philosophy is the engagement of our people as the creators and owners of the transformation solutions. Additionally, there will be a focus on ensuring that our values and behaviours are embedded in everything we do.
Do you have what it takes?
In order to succeed in this challenging and varied role you will require extensive change management planning and implementation experience, preferable on a global basis, with significant experience in at least one of the following core business disciplines: OD and Change, HR, project management, lean six sigma.
You will be self-motivated, with high drive to achieve results and able to work with high degree of autonomy.
Strong business acumen with an understanding of performance reporting tools and methodologies.
Strong influencing and negotiating skills, with well-developed political acumen.
Collaborative in approach, with the ability to remain neutral/independent.
Culturally aware – adapts own behaviours/style in light of cultural environment.
A skilled coach, with the ability to modulate style to motivate others without direct line management.
Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences (both written and verbal).
Fluency in English and French, both written and verbal

Type of Role: 2 year Fixed Term Contract
Location: West Africa, preferably in Dakar Senegal or an office where Plan International operate
Salary: Circa $65,000.00 USD per annum plus benefits
Reports to: Head of Organisation Development and Change Management
